Senior Session

*********SENIORS********

Have you booked your senior session yet? Well, whether you're already on top of it, or it's on your to-do list.......LET'S TALK!

Each senior session is a reflection of you.....an exclusive experience tailored to your interests, style and personality. This is a once in a lifetime moment so prepping will make things go smoothly and most importantly FUN!

When (If) you decide to schedule a session (you should definitely schedule) the first thing to think about is SEASON.

The etiquette for scheduling senior sessions has drastically changed over the years. It used to be that you had your senior photos done the summer and fall BEFORE your senior year. That trend has since fizzled out. I say.....schedule whenever you want.....whatever season you love.....BUT DEFINITELY SCHEDULE!!!!

Make sure you contact your photographer (hopefully me) well in advance to reserve a spot.

OK.....so you've booked your session.....what's next..........let's talk OUTFITS!

The most asked question for my seniors is "What should I wear?" I always say start with what you have in your closet and add to it. Your favorite pair of jeans with a new top. Your favorite dress with a new scarf. Match your clothing to the season (obviously) but also wear what's comfortable. I recommend a dressier outfit and a casual outfit (or two or three). For the guys.....a button up or collared shirt will work for "dressy" and I LOVE to see the sport coat with jeans if that's your style. Don't forget to accessorize and bring shoes to match! I strongly advise against clothing with large logos, large patterns and bright colors. If you need help.....just let me know! Feel free to share your outfits with me too!

Ladies (and Gents)......do not try a new hairstyle the day of your session! Stick to your natural hairstyle but consider a little more hairspray to keep things looking great for the session.

If you wear make-up consider having it done professionally. Even if you don't wear make-up consider having someone do a simple natural look on you. I can recommend some great salons for hair and make-up.

Things to bring.......

Whether it's your letter jacket, an instrument, a book, etc...... These are the things that make you who you are, and need to be documented with this milestone. It's always a good idea to bring an extra outfit (just incase), hairspray (even the guys), make-up touch-ups....you get the idea. The MOST IMPORTANT thing to bring with you is a PARENT, best- friend, grand-parent, sibling...etc. Now don't go overboard and invite your entire family (things get a little crazy with too many people), but having someone there who knows you and you are comforatable with can change help a lot!

Allow yourself plenty of time so that you are not rushed. We are going to have a great time! Remember these are guidelines, not hard fast rules. DON'T STRESS and BE YOURSELF....we will have a great time. See you soon!
